Un tema no muy original pero que el arte ha cuestionado y continua cuestionando a lo largo de la historia de la cultura. Una pregunta, una curiosidad insatisfecha y la mejor manera de acercarse a la respuesta es con los sentidos, especialmente con el tacto, y con la mirada. La mano representa el aspecto humanizante, la conciencia con la que hay que acercarse al saber, no conquistándolo sino comprendiéndolo. El negro es la oscuridad donde hay que buscar la luz. <br /><br /><em>“<span style="font-size:130%;">Utopos” is a metaphor, a poetic manner to express ideas about the universe and about time. Not a very original subject but one that art has continued to query all throughout cultural history. Questions, an unsatisfied curiosity and perhaps the best way to get closer to an answer is through the senses, especially touch and seeing. The hand represents the humanizing aspect, the awareness of having to get closer to the knowledge, not overcoming it but understanding it. La dialéctica entre lo contrapuesto, no hay luz sin el contraste de la oscuridad, no hay muerte si no hay vida.<br />Estos trabajos están enraizados en la experiencia, en el conflicto de sentimientos. Algo que ya estaba ahí, de hace tiempo, de pronto emerge inesperadamente, para dar un renovado impulso a la fuerza creadora. Desaparece el color ; esta vez blanco y negro con algunos matices de grises deben ser suficientes para provocar una atmósfera mas densa en comparación con los anteriores trabajos. Blanco y negro, forma y materia, microcosmos y macrocosmos, establecen una dialéctica sugerente y preñada de significados. Quizás es una forma de expresar el lado más oscuro de la relación del hombre con la naturaleza, el conflicto entre civilización y naturalidad, la búsqueda de una armonía primigenia.<br />En todo caso, el modelo imaginario de de las obras que conforman esta serie de “Imago Mundi”, siempre se encuentra detrás de la realidad cotidiana, como una sombra inaprensible.
